take a look at this. if you don't have any plans this weekend. if you're going, what should we do this weekend? this is what you should do this weekend. look at liberty mountain. i was up there last week, a lot of the runs were closed. now they have all the trails open because of the cold air. they've been able to make snow every single day. and they've received a little bit in the way of natural snow too. 25 trails open there, snow shoe has received upwards of a foot of snow in the past week. they've got 44 trails open, and wintergreen coming in with about 19 trails. so skiing could be a very good thing to do this weekend if you can get up there. now, tomorrow's forecast for the rest of us, sun and clouds, still cold, temperature 29 to about 34 degrees, that 34 coming in the city, winds out of the northwest at 10 to 15, that'll keep windchills in the teens to about 20 all day long. and then we get on the roller coaster. we've been down in the valley as far as temperatures are concerned. watch what happens here. get your wardrobe ready, you're going to need the whole thing here. today on the cold side, by
6:46 pm
midweek, we're up to 60, that comes with some rain. and then by friday, we're right back in towards 32 degrees, again. so say hello, that roller coaster ride coming in very, very quickly. this also looks like one of those ski resorts, guys, if you're thinking about going. that's my side of the mountain right there. >> helping us make so many plans to go skiing this weekend. >> sunbathing on friday. >> and we have a dinner date tonight, don't we, ladies? is that tonight? >> friday. all right. you came running into the studio during the commercial break. >> what happens off the air stays off the air. >> you had news. >> well, we have news. redskins pr has yet to confirm it, but redskins left tackle trent williams will not play in the pro bowl this sunday. we're working on the why. a vikings press release announced that minnesota rookie tackle is replacing williams. williams had been looking forward to this nfl all-star game his first pro bowl experience. he's been practicing in hawaii all week. he played through thigh, knee, and angle injuries this week,
6:47 pm
but he was amazing on the field earning that nod. more on this story, but we do know that williams joins robert griffin iii to be selected to pro bowl to be withdrawn. well, there's a promo shoot in baltimore recently. someone had this idea, they brought in the lombardi trophy, an authentic one and wanted the ravens to get around it for this video shoot. and ray lewis wouldn't let anybody -- >> that's not a good idea. >> compete in the commercial. he said no, no, no not until after the game. that's all he's thinking about right now. it's the "xs" and "os." >> do not do this commercial. >> but we agree with him. >> some people call him ray ray. >> i like to call him ray ray, makes him seem -- he'll be happy to oblige with all the pictures after the game. in the meantime, though, he's
6:48 pm
only thinking about the xs and os. >> i haven't even said, oh, man this is your last game, what do you think? i really haven't. because i just really, you know, it's keeping my teammates focused on the real prize. i heard coach speak about it earlier, and the real prize is going to win the super bowl. it's great to get there. don't get me wrong, but to win it is something special. and you feel that confetti drop in, i'll reflect then. but this really hasn't crossed my mind like that. >> all right. so they leave for new orleans on monday. the washington capitals gave up four goals in the second period in the last night's game versus the half. four goals in one period. caps fall to 1-0 on the year. hoping to shake off that loss and hit the ice tonight in new jersey to face the devils. he knows that team well. he was an assistant for the devils the last two season. last night, verizon center, second period was a
6:49 pm
demonstration of what not to do. a number of mental errors, guys out of positions and getting beat to the puck. all the stuff a coach does not want to see. to make matters worse, the team was being booed at times by their own fans. and a lot of talk on social media today. rocking the red might be dead. let's not write them off just yet. players beating themselves up enough already. >> i think it's embarrassing the way we've played. we really got to regroup and talk about this. and play the way we should tomorrow. the good thing is we're playing tomorrow again, we've got to be better. >> we're not out of shape. that's an excuse right now. guys are professionals here, they came into camp in shape ready to go and it's not, you know, fitness. it's work ethic. and we're getting worked. >> i'm not a believer in the speech, i'm not. we're pros, you've got to do your job, it's not always going
6:50 pm
to go your way. and you've got to show up for work. >> all right. so the caps tonight in new jersey will be the only team in the league without a single point in the standings. the washington wizards are coming back after a wild adventure out west. the wizards hosting the t-wolves tonight at the verizon center. almost doubling their win totals since he returned. he had made them competitive playing up to 25 minutes a game. tonight for the first time this season, he's going to be in the starting lineup. fun fact, with him on the court, wizards are outscoring their opponents by 20 points per 10 possessions. without him on the floor -- wizards know what they have to do and confident in their return to d.c. >> you do the job the best way you can. that's all you try to do. and we've done that and these guys were doing that for the most part. so they've stuck to it. now we're starting to get healthy and starting to get
6:51 pm
people back. and i think they see a little bit of light at the end of the tunnel. >> in the next step for us was just getting everybody healthy. and now that we're finally healthy, you know, really showing teams we're capable of doing. now it's just a matter of building that comradery and that chemistry and getting repetition with the guys back. once we get full circuit, we're going to be a tough team to play. >> oh, yeah. tough team. the maryland terrapins not fooled by duke's 27-point blowout loss to miami this week. he's only studying bits of that game film, focusing more on the footage of the blue devils at home. because duke is a whole different animal indoor. >> i think our guys will be excited because it's the number one team in the country. i know they lost last night, but still number one when we play them. we have a lot of new players that haven't been in the building. they'll be excited to play in that building. more importantly, we're coming off our last road game where we
6:52 pm
weren't very good in the first half. i imagine our guys will be a lot more intuned and ready to go. obviously duke's going to be ready to go saturday after what happened last night. we have to be ready and match their intensity early. >> this is going to be loud, it's going to be a great atmosphere. you have to relish in the moment. that's what coach told us. regardless of what we play on the road, it's going to be tough. looking for an opportunity to play against coach and his team. >> roger federer was making a statement today, at least four of the five sets. the match went one set too long for the 31-year-old. andy murray took advantage. men's semifinals action. there's murray, the number three seed taking on the second seed roger federer. picking up in the second serve, on the serve falling back and forth. murray, a strong forehand, but rips the back hand in far back corner, he would take the second set and he's pumped. third set now murray battling back. check out this forehand down the line. >> again.
6:53 pm
>> bam, federer has no answer for that. goes to a fifth set, going to a distance, federer on the serve and goes long, andy murray moves on to beat roger federer in five sets. it's the first time murray has ever beaten federer. and he's happy to go to the finals. he's been there a couple of times before, murray's never won it. >> okay. well, got to be happy for him. >> stay up for it 3:00 a.m. sunday morning. >> dvr. thanks, carol. up next, the hunt for a dolphin on the

one more check on doug's weather forecast. >> it was nice, but it is safe to go outside now. >> that's the thing, i still think tonight with these very cold temperatures, we're going to run into that lot of slick spots. right on through the night tonight and through tomorrow morning. the main roads were treated, and they have been fine for the most part. some really good news there. tomorrow still cold, but look at that. 33, we get above freezing for
6:57 pm
the first time in four days, and we stay on that trend, 35 on sunday, monday, watching out for that could be some slick conditions early on monday, maybe some snow or freezing rain early monday morning. it's not big at all. once again, coming around rush hour, 60 on wednesday, a good chance for some rain, and then we cool off once again cold by next week. back down below the freezing mark, and we could stay there for a while. >> oh, my. all right. thank you, doug. did i say dolphin? well, i meant crocodile. if crocodiles scare you, south africa is not the place to visit right now. as many as 10,000 of them succe escaped from a farm. concerns of rising flood waters might crush the reptiles, now crocodiles have been sighted across the region. authorities are warning people not to approach them. i can't imagine that's a problem. that's something you probably don't have to repeat twice for most people. the farm workers are out trying to capture the crocodiles, and
6:58 pm
now police have joined in that hunt. they're working at night because the light reflected in the crocodile's eyes makes it easier to see them. >> i wonder if they were escaping -- if they were going to be made into a purse or pair of shoes. maybe they were running for it. >> that's our
